Fire protection concept Tümpelgartenschule Hanau

Changing the use of an existing building into an all-day care facility for a school in Hanau presented a number of challenges. The existing structure had to be examined from a fire protection point of view and partially upgraded, special details had to be developed for bulkheads and various options had to be examined to ensure the escape routes.

The result is appealing: modern architecture and functional, light-flooded rooms offer a high quality of stay throughout the building.

Completion was confirmed in spring 2023, three years after the start of planning.

IBB was responsible for the fire protection planning and construction supervision for the building project and was able to draw up the escape and rescue plans after completion.
