Administration building Poststrasse Darmstadt
A former postal distribution center near the main railway station in Darmstadt was put to a new use by the owners. This required extensive interventions in the building fabric in several construction measures.
Among other things, large areas of floor slabs were removed to create a spacious inner courtyard. Our fire protection concept provided for structural measures that enabled the owner to largely dispense with the previously existing sprinkler system - an enormous cost saving in construction and subsequent operation!
Not only office users moved into the building, but an educational facility was also created on two floors, including for nursing staff, a fitness studio on the first floor and additional space for storage and order picking.
We were also involved in the implementation planning and construction supervision of fire protection for all construction projects in the building. Before commissioning, IBB revised the escape and rescue plans as well as the fire department plans.
We still work for the operators and individual tenants today and update documents such as the fire safety regulations and the escape and rescue plans as required.
